šŸš€ Expanding Skills and Seeing Potential

What wasn't there was the ambition for more. So, I set off to find my next station in life, which landed me at The Chopping Block on Wooden Road in Stratford, CT. It was run by a brother who was a good barber but a better businessman.Ā

This new station challenged my depth in my craft by putting new textures of hair in my chair, from straight hair to curly hair, angel hair, afro hair, and coarse hair—all different nationalities and ethnicities. This broadened my usage of different tools to get a successful outcome: scissors, razors, thinning shears, and razor combs, etc..Ā

It would also help me see my potential and the potential for earnings in this industry. Was there a future in the barbering industry? Then I went to the "CT Barbering Expo" held in Farmington, Connecticut, established by Jay Majors. At this Expo, I heard a speech by a brother named Master Barber DL (who is now located in California). In his talk, he said the master words of "Knowing your worth so no one can devalue your work". That was a moment that changed it all for me, and my barbering career really took off after this event. Needless to say, this is a journey.Ā
